  FYI- what not to do as a waitress or a restaurant class 101. I'm was just visiting the area for the first time. We walk in 6:30 on a Friday night expecting a regular dinner crowd. The place is completely empty but the open sign is on, doors are open, and lights are on. The waitress at the counter doesn't even look up. I finally ask if it's ok if we seat ourselves. She looks up and says " well we are closing but I guess so". I apologise and turn to leave when she calls us back, " no, no it's okay". We sit down to eat and she hands my 15 year old boy the kids menu and my 10 year old girl the adult menu . She gives us about 15 seconds to look over the menu and then asks for our order. My poor ten year old says she would like the linguini. The waitress says " really? That's a really big plate of food, you sure you don't want something else?" I couldn't believe it, no kid sized pasta dish. I asked her if she could just send a smaller portion but the waitress said" no, only one size". All I wanted was fish and chips but I decided I would just share this supposedly ​ "too big for a little girl but your tuff luck" meal with my daughter. My son ordered fish and chips. I tried one of his fish pieces and was glad I hadn't ordered because it tasted like outdated leftover fish from the 7-11 warming tray. I was so mad I just gave my wife the debit card and went outside to wait so as not to say anything I might regret to the wicked witch waitress. To top it all off they literally have a sign posted that basically says we work at our own pace, if you don't like it then too bad. Im a 45 year old guy that if you saw me you might think I should lay off eating out for a while, so I've eaten at plenty of restaurants and I don't ever recall an experience as bad as this one.
